Weedsport Productions Supports Food Bank of Central New York’s Million Meals Gala

At Weedsport Productions, we believe in giving back to the communities that support us. This year, we were honored to contribute to the Food Bank of Central New York’s Million Meals Gala, donating a Mobile LED Screen rental package as a silent auction item to help raise funds in the fight against hunger.

A Night of Celebration and Compassion

The Million Meals Gala, held on September 20, 2025, marked a special milestone for the Food Bank of Central New York — celebrating 40 years of service to families across our region. Hosted in their newly expanded warehouse, the evening featured food, drinks, live entertainment, and a shared commitment to end hunger in Central New York.

With a fundraising goal of $333,333, the event aimed to provide one million nutritious meals to neighbors in need. We’re proud that our LED screen donation played a small role in supporting that mission and helping the Food Bank continue its life-changing work.

Feeding Hope Across Central and Northern New York

Since 1985, the Food Bank of Central New York has been a cornerstone of hunger relief — serving 11 counties, including Onondaga, Cayuga, Cortland, Oswego, and beyond. The organization distributes food to over 370 emergency food program partners, including pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters. In the past year alone, they’ve distributed more than 22 million pounds of food, the equivalent of over 50,000 meals each day.

As their Director of Development, Heidi Soine, shared in her letter of thanks, it’s the generosity of local individuals and businesses that enables the Food Bank to continue its vital mission: to lead the effort to eliminate hunger in our region through education, advocacy, and the distribution of nutritious food.
